|MGA International was founded in 1998 by Mark and Brad Grimes. In 2003 Mark Grimes decided to follow his political dreams and was elected City Councilor for Toronto Ward 6 on November 10, 2003. At the time of Mark’s departure, Greg Grimes joined Brad and together they’ve been successfully managing and growing MGA International into the thriving business that it is today.
Brad Grimes is in charge of our Accounting Department at MGA. Brad started his accounting career in 1988 while he was employed with an International firm (GEC Canada) in Mississauga, Ontario. While there he enrolled in the CGA program and through this became a key member of the Management team at GEC Canada. With the business knowledge that he developed throughout his 10 years with GEC along with his brother Mark’s knowledge of the Logistics side of the business they decided to venture into the transportation industry. They opened MGA International Logistics in 1998 and have developed the business into a very successful transportation company.
Greg Grimes was also employed by GEC Canada and started his professional Sales career with the company in 1988 becoming a key member of the company’s circuit board assembly division. Within his first year at GEC he was promoted to Sales Manager. In November 1993 he left GEC to join Lazer-Tech, a Scarborough based printed circuit board manufacturing company, as their Sales Manager. In 2003 when his brother Mark was elected to Toronto City Council Greg made a difficult decision to leave Lazer-Tech to join Brad in the family business.
