MGA International Logistics provides full truckload shipping services across the United States and Canada. Its FTL lanes include connections between Ontario manufacturing facilities, Texas distribution centres, Alberta energy sites, and California fulfillment warehouses.
MGA works with several trailer types so equipment can be matched to the freight:
| Trailer Type | Max Payload | Typical Freight | MGA’s Approach |
| 53′ Dry Van | Up to 45,000 lbs / 26 pallets | General, packaged, and palletized freight | Widest equipment availability, covering the U.S. and all Canadian provinces |
| Flatbed | Up to 48,000 lbs | Steel, machinery, construction materials | Load securement and oversize permit coordination |
| Step Deck | Up to 46,000 lbs | Over-height equipment, industrial loads | Custom blocking, bracing, and tarping available |
| Refrigerated Reefer | Up to 44,000 lbs | Food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, perishables | 24/7 temperature monitoring, cross-border ready |
| Lowboy / RGN | 80,000+ lbs | Heavy equipment, cranes, mining machinery | Escort coordination and state/provincial permit handling |
MGA’s FTL process follows four general stages:
MGA coordinates each of these steps internally, from initial planning through final delivery.
For planning purposes, a single driver can typically cover approximately 500 miles per day, depending on the specifics of the shipment (add roughly one extra day for less-than-truckload shipments). Team drivers and expedited service are available on request for time-sensitive freight; dispatch can confirm actual transit estimates for a specific route.
FTL shipping costs can vary based on several factors:
MGA states that its FTL quotes are structured as transparent, all-in pricing, with fuel and accessorial charges disclosed rather than bundled in as hidden fees.
Businesses comparing full truckload shipping companies are often trying to answer one underlying question: which provider can move this specific freight reliably, at a fair and transparent price? A few factors are useful to check regardless of which FTL trucking companies you’re considering:
Based on the criteria above, MGA International’s published capabilities include a carrier network vetted against safety and insurance requirements, real-time GPS tracking, all-in pricing disclosure, an in-house cross-border team, 24/7 dispatch support, and experience across the industries listed earlier on this page.
MGA International’s logistics team can help match your shipment to the right equipment, route, and carrier. Request a quote through MGA’s online RFQ form, or reach the team directly at 844-334-0039 or info@mgainternational.com.
With FTL, your freight is the only cargo on the trailer and travels directly from pickup to delivery. With LTL, your shipment shares trailer space with other shippers' freight and typically passes through multiple terminals, which adds handling points and can extend transit time.
Look at equipment availability, geographic and cross-border coverage, how carriers are vetted for safety and reliability, whether tracking is available in real time, whether pricing is quoted all-in, and whether support is available outside standard business hours.
Common trailer types include 53-foot dry vans for general palletized freight, flatbeds for steel and machinery, step decks for over-height loads, refrigerated reefers for temperature-sensitive goods, and lowboy/RGN trailers for heavy equipment. MGA International offers all five of these equipment types.
Distance, freight weight and type, seasonal demand, fuel prices, and accessorial services (like liftgate delivery or expedited shipping) all factor into FTL pricing. Costs vary by shipment, so a quote is the most accurate way to confirm pricing for a specific route.

Greg Grimes got it done. I had an unusual shipment that he took on seriously and professionally. Greg was very responsive and communicative, worked many different angles to get me a good price, and overcame several logistical challenges. I would definitely use MGA again.
We have made several trips to Toronto for the 2013 PGA Championship and over the course of those trips we have gotten to know the principles of this organization well. They are headquartered in Toronto and are great people. If you need to reach out to them, ask for Greg or Brad Grimes and let them know you heard of them through this note and they will take good care of you.
Can count on MGA for all my shipping requirements. Fantastic personnel and service.
