When the need arises to haul oversized loads that will not fit into a conventional trailer, consider the convenience and versatility RGN carriers can offer. When transporting heavy machinery or large equipment, you will likely require some variation of a lowboy trailer. RGN trailers – a classification of lowboys where the trailer sits low to the ground – provide a unique feature: once detached from the truck’s cab, the hydraulic-powered gooseneck can be lowered to the ground to create a ramp to drive self-powered cargo directly onto the trailer. This unique attribute eliminates the need for specialized machinery, such as forklifts or cranes, to load and unload cargo.
RGN CARRIERS
Since the late 1950s, RGN trucking companies have transported overweight, over-height, and oversize cargo. Depending on the configuration of the axles, RGN trailers can carry freight weighing up to 68,000 kg (150,000 lbs). The well-space allows for about 9 m (29 feet) of deck space, with a maximal width of roughly 2.5 m (8.5 feet) and a maximum height of 3.5 m (11.5 feet). Just as safe and secure as a standard flatbed, RGN trailer shipping can handle much greater freight capacity.
